Fabric under tomatoes

I have a raised bed garden and I am wondering if fabric under tomatoes will work?

If you mean putting landscape fabric under the soil at the bottom of your beds to keep out moles then yes, that will help protect your crop from underground rodents. If you mean fabric on top of the soil around your tomato plants, then no, it would be better to use red plastic as a mulch around tomatoes to reflect and hold heat. Your raised bed is a good spot for growing heat loving crops like tomatoes. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
