Best way to prune this Rhododendrum
This rhode is not like all the others I have. Can I prune this one like I do the others? I just prune when they get too big and tall and they always grow back. This one I have never pruned because it’s a different type.

Yes, you can cut back this rhododendron but the best time of year to prune this plant is late spring or when it it done blooming. Pruning in the fall is always a risk as pruning stimulates tender new growth. It is best to cut back less than one third of any shrub. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
