Blooming red mandevilla & pink

Does the red mandavila/dipladania not bloom as much as the pink? Don’t know if I have a mandavila or dipladania but my red not many dark red blooms, but too many vines. My pink lots of blooms but reasonable vines, in fact only 2. Both in large pots. Red inside of pool in sunny corner, glass enclosed area, pink outside in sunny spot under tree.

Yes, it is possible that different colors have different bloom loads but most likely the location of the potted plants adds to the bloom count. Warm nights, sun, wind and water all contribute to how many buds are set. I will assume you fertilize both plants the same way. Gardening is a great adventure so go ahead and experiment with more sun and another application of Osmocote plant food to the plant and see if you can coax more buds for summer color.
