Wow - I have heard of a blue Christmas, a blue moon and a blue light special but I have never heard of a living blue poinsettia - unless the living plant have been sprayed with florist paint. Some cut flowers can be turned blue by sitting them in vases of blue dye (carnations for example) but when it comes to potted poinsettias if the plants are alive and blue they were painted with florist's spray paint.
