Bouganvillea
I bought a bougainvillea this summer. I have kept it in a pot and it has been just beautiful.
Do you have any advice how I may try to keep it over the winter please . We have a greenhouse but do not have heat in it. If I keep it in the entrance hall it will get a lot of drafts when the front door opens and will also get relatively warm when the door is closed and the heating is on.
Any advice you could give me would be much appreciated.

I must confess I have not cracked the code on how to overwinter this tropical vine. It needs warm dry air. Greenhouses in wet winters are humid. I vote for indoors with warm air. Do not water much. Expect leaf drop and no blooms. If you can put up with this ugliness over the winter is may survive to bloom late in the summer once it goes back outside in May. Often it is now worth the hassle. If you learn any successful tips for overwintering the beautiful bougainvillea please share them. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
