Bulb plants to begin growing in April
What are good choices of bulbs to plant in late April?

That depends on where you live but in areas with cold winters and warm summers as in most of the United States you can plant dahlias, gladiolas, agapanthus, lilies and eucomis in late April for blooms the very same summer. Most bulbs need good drainage and should be planted at three times the width of the bulb or tuber, usually no deeper than six inches. There are lots more unusual summer blooming bulbs to plant now as well. Visit a local nursery or go online to check out all your options for bulbs that will bloom in the summer. Flowers that bloom in the spring such as tulips and daffodils also grow from bulbs but these are planted in the fall.
Keep growing,
