Bromeliad aechmea pink

I received this plant in December. Great flower in the center. Since, it has died off (normal). Three New flowers are also coming, great. What do i do with the leaves and section where the flower was? It has disconnected itself from the rest of the plant. Do I repot it as another plant or toss it?

Also, do I water the 3 new flower areas in their ‘funnel’ like i did for the main plant? How do I further help it to grow?
Thanks much

I am impressed! Many bromeliad owners overwater their potted plants and then they rot. Looks like you have three new "pups" or offshoots growing in the pot ready to take over. The mother plant that is out of the pot can be discarded. Once she blooms she is done. You can try to keep all three younger plants in the same pot but they would prefer being divided up now and placed into three separate containers. Continue to water as you did before just filling the cups or funnel and taking care not to overwater. I would add a small amount of slow release plant food such as Osmote to the potting soil when you do the transplant. Fertilizer will encourage flower spikes to form and you'll get to enjoy the beautiful life cycle of the bromeliad once again. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
