I have a 5ft X 8ft raised bed. The last planting of carrots are along one side and I’m about to pull up spent pea vines.I want to know what late fall harvest veggie seeds I should plant that do well in a partial shade area.

Now is the perfect time to plant leaf crop like lettuce, kale, Swiss chard and spinach. The partialy shaded area works great because leaf crops need less sun than other veggies. If you care to cover the second crop of fall veggies with a agricultural fleece or Remay than you can extend your fall harvest into the winter months. I am not sure where you garden and what your climate is but planting leaf crops that are quick to mature is a great way to extend your harvest in almost any climate. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
