Marianne's Response
C.S.R.‘s Question
I experienced a nice surprise in my garden. Even though the potted primroses and the Tucker’s Early Purple Lavender, which were bought last spring, faded by late June or July, in September both of them started to bloom once more. Is it unusual for these to flower twice in one year or not?

Marianne's Response
Sounds like you have a green thumb! Cool fall weather and fertile soil will sometimes coax spring bloomers into an encore performance in the fall. My own primroses flower again in the fall especially if the autumn is mild. I fertilize in mid summer with Osmocote so that there is a slow feeding all season to build up the plant. Then I just wait to see what plants will bloom again. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
