Camellia seedlings not growing

I have camellia seedlings that germinated in January but are not growing much and it’s May.
We used peat moss, sand, perlite and pine bark mulch, for media, and used osmocote plus but not much growth and wonder why?

Patience with plants. Camellias and other evergreens take their time getting started and you should not expect much growth until the soil is warmer in mid summer. Unlike annuals and perennials with shorter life spans, trees and shrubs grow slower as they establish roots and a framework for a longer life. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
