Use willow water to help new cuttings take root

You refer to willow water. What is that?

Marianne's Response

Cut stems from your willow tree or pussy willow shrub and place in a jar of water. Let it sit overnight. You can store this in the frig for weeks and use the water to root cuttings. It will be infused with salicylic acid - the same stuff they use to make aspirin. The acid from the willow is what helps new cuttings to take root. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
