Captain’s Question
I purchased osmocote flower & vegetable smart release plant food. How much fertilizer is recommended for tomatoes in 2 gallon containers? I also have cucumbers in 5 gallon containers and various herbs and smaller plants in smaller pots. Is it okay to use this product in potted plants?

Thanks for using Osmocote! I'm guessing you have a 3 lb. bottle with a spoon in it. Use 3 generous spoonfuls for the the 2 gallon container with tomatoes. Be sure to thoroughly mix the Osmocote granules with the soil. I suggest 4 - 5 spoonfuls for the cucumbers in the 5 gallon container. In the smaller pots, try 1 - 2 spoonfuls.
