How to store iris bulbs

How can I preserve old iris bulbs, recently dug up, that I can’t plant for about four weeks?

Just store the tubers in a brown paper bag and keep them cool. Iris bulbs can stay dormant for a few months before they need to be planted back into the soil. Cut up the large tubers and toss out the older center section. The newest growth will be the outer knobs and these can be cut into sections the size of a large thumb, as long as each tuber has an eye or growth point. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
