Brown grass virus?
Hi Marianne,
My neighbor and I greeted March with major patches of brown grass in our front lawns. He says it’s a virus and showed me other places in town that have it. Are you familiar with this?

Yes - but I believe he meant to say it is a fungus brought on by wet, mild weather. Just rake it out as best you can, add some topsoil, and reseed. It should fade away as soon as the weather warms up. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
