If you are up for a challenge you can start the Stevia seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost in your area. This plant likes warmth and full sun so make sure it is near a bright window. Plant the seeds in a seeding medium or potting soil that drains well. Space the seeds 8 inches apart and if you are lucky the will sprout. Keep the soil moist but do not over water or the young seedlings will rot. Transplant to a warm and sunny site when all danger of frost has passed. It is much easier to buy started plants, start new plants from cuttings or make root cuttings from mature plants. Growing this plant from seed is tricky. The plants can be harvested after 4 months by drying the leaves. Good luck, Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
