The pulmonaria or lungwort is easy to divide. You can lift the entire plant from the soil pull it apart along the \"seams\" where you see the young plants sitting along the side of the mother plant. If your plant is too big to dig up you can also use a sharp spade or shovel to slice off the side plants from the mother. As long as a tiny bit of root remains on the baby plants they will grow. Just keep them cool and moist planted in a shaded spot for a few weeks while they recover from the transplant shock. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
