Calla lilies thrive in zones 5 - 9 but if you live in a very cold climate you can grow them in pots and bring them into a sheltered spot in the winter. Calla lilies will adapt and tolerate damp soil, even bog-like conditions. They like full sun in cool climates. If you live in a warm area, grow them in shade or partial shade. Dig and separate the bulb -like roots only if the plants are declining in vigor. Plant bulbs 4 in deep one foot apart in the spring so the lilies can bloom in summer. Separate crowded clumps in the fall after the leaves die back. There are many different types of calla lilies with some different needs. If you would like to send a photo perhaps I can tell you what variety you own and be more specific on how to grow these lovely perennial plants.
Keep growing,
