Marianne's Response
Hi Cliff - I am growing my first goji berry plants this year and the advice on the plant tag was to grow in a sunny location with good drainage and water a lot the first year until the roots are established - I water when the top one inch of the soil is dry. As for fertilizing, like most shrubs they like a slow release plant food so I gave mine a few tablespoons of Osmocote at planting time. Every spring I will just sprinkle the Osmocote around the root zone. I did not get any berries this first year but I am hoping we'll both be harvesting the healthy Goji berry next summer. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
