CMcLeod’s Question
Good morning!
I’ m about to plant a tree in a huge pot. Could I add filler to the bottom of the pot, or just soil, so that the tree will be extend it’s roots in the future? As always, thanks!

When it comes to potted trees, the best thing is to use soil and no space filling material. You are correct in that the tree will want to extend it\'s roots as deep as possilble. Just make sure the pot has good drainage and that you use a potting soil not soil from your garden beds. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
