When to water ground cherry plants

How often should I be watering my ground cherry plants?

Water when the top one inch of the soil is dry to the touch. Poke your finger into the soil to be sure. Using a mulch and having a lot of organic matter in the soil like compost will allow your soil to hold moisture so you will not need to water as often but if you have sandy soil and no mulch on top the soil will dry out sooner. The weather temp also plays a part in how often plants need water so there is no set schedule for outdoor plants. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
