I ordered sweet potato slip and requested slips with tubers growing beneath the slip because of limited space. I was sent vining slips instead. Would it help the tubers to grow better if I cut the vines to force the nutrients to the tubers?

No, I do not think that is a good idea to cut the vines. The vines will help to make food that will be sent to the tuber roots. Warm summer weather is just what sweet potatoes need to make fast growth. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
