I would like to know when I can prune my cotoneaster maybe some thick branches also when I do cuttings in August do I need to cover them with plastic for humidity? I do the bonsai plants. Thank you!

Evergreens like cotoneaster can be pruned in spring or early summer. I would not prune after the first of July as the new growth needs time to harden off before winter comes. As for taking cuttings in August it is a good idea to use vented plastic to cover the cuttings to increase the humidity. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
