Marianne's Response
No blooms on Calla lily
Why did my Calla lily not bloom? It has lush green leaves and looks healthy but no blooms.

Marianne's Response
Calla lilies do not flower if they are lacking in sunshine or certain nutrients. The healthy green leaves are a tip that perhaps the calla needs more sun. You can transplant the tuber in late fall or early spring to a site with more sunlight. Once the plant does bloom, do not destroy or remove the foliage as it needs to ripen and turn yellow naturally to make blooms for the next year. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
