Cucumber plants
I have black rubber between my cucumber plants to help with weeds. Once the cucumbers start growing, will the black rubber damage the vegetables due to the rubber getting so hot? Thank you

Yes, the hot rubber can leave marks on the young cukes so set them on a wooden shingle or add a layer of wood chips on top of the plastic. Cucumbers also need a constant supply of moisture but do not like wet leaves. A drip system of hand watering the roots is best. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
