Damaged rose bush
I have a gorgeous rose which has been cut down to about 2-3 inches from the ground by a stupid painter. In soooo upset. It is my fav. I cannot locate the info tag that came with the plant so I cannot identify it except for a picture. My question is, can it be saved or should I just dig it up. I truly appreciate any advice

No worries and forgive the painter. Your rose will grow back this summer but may not have as many blooms as it puts energy into new leaf and stem production. Good thing the accident happened in the early summer as now the plant will have time to renew before winter sets in. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti P.S. It looks like a Peace rose - my favorite.
