I love bleeding heart! This woodland perennial loves cool, moist soil and can be added any time the ground is not frozen. It needs at least 3 hours of sun preferring morning sun to encourage the most blooms. In total shade it may survive but with few flowers. Transplant into moist soil after watering pot and try to keep soil around the roots when you make the move. Do not worry if all foliage falls off after the move. The roots will be fine and you will enjoy flowers the following spring. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
