debbiedancer’s Question
some of my neighbors have cut down all of their trees. some trees have evidently had douglas fir disease. I am concerned my own trees may be negatively impacted by this clearing. If i need to cut down some of my firs, what trees should i plant to replace them?

The fir trees can be replaced with cedars or yews if you need evergreen trees or you can add a mix of vine maples, Japanese maples and some evergreens for a more natural look. You may find that your own Douglas Fir are healthy or outgrow the disease once the competition of your neighbors' trees are removed. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
