Your garden looks lovely in the photo. I suggest brunera in the place of hosta and also hardy geraniums, mahonia, ferns and hellebores for your shade. But deer will taste anything. I just invested in a deer fence and gate for my own garden after sharing my plants for 34 years. Daffodils and lamiums are two more plants they do not eat.
