Do Hostas Have Pups?
What is growing out of my hosta plant? Someone said it’s a baby that I can plant like a spider plant, but I’ve never heard of that before with hosta.

Yes, the wand is holding a new hosta pup, and you can cut the umbilical cord, leaving an inch of the stem on the baby plant and try to root the segment of the stem by placing the crown of the new plant into moist soil. Keep the young plant shaded and moist while new roots form. Congratulations on the new offspring. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
