Does this look familiar?
Don’t know what this little seedling is. Came up in a cluster of seeds almost as if a seed pod was buried. Thinned our and hoping I can figure out what it is. Had small, hard round/oval seed

This looks like a native tree or shrub planted by either the birds or the squirrels. I am not sure what the plant will be but gardening is an adventure so why not let it grow and see what it turns into. Once it flowers or matures it will be easier to identify. Meanwhile try to match the leaf to wild things growing in your neighborhood. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
