How do I stop elephant ear plants from spreading

Wow - sounds like a rather nice problem to have but then I live in an area where this tropical plant struggles to grow. You can contain the roots of spreading plants with a cement or fiberglass barrier underground at least 24 inches deep. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
