Breaking aloe into multiple plants
I have a very tall (2′) aloe plant and want to know if there is a way to break it up into multiple plants. There are no babies growing around it. There is only the one think root base.

Yes, aloe is easy to start from just a leaf cutting. Break off an outer leaf trying to also collect a bit of the base of the plant. Pot this is sandy soil and keep moist until new roots form. You can help the new cutting survive by keeping it in the shade for a week while it grows new roots. Good luck, Marianne Binetti
