Hi Brad, Gerber daisies do like a quality fertilizer for those big blooms so add Osmocote around the roots of the plants in the spring following the instructions on the package. Then my tip is to add just a bit more of the Osmocote than recommended for these hungry plants. (I do the same with roses that also need lots of fertilizer.) The Osmocote contains all the major and micro nutrients a plant could need but releases the fertilizer so slowly that the Gerber Daisies will not suffer from fertilizer burn nor will you need to remember to reapply the fertilizer. One dose will feed them for 6 months. The Osmocote will work with plants in pots or with plants planted directly into the ground.
