Fertilizer for herbs in containers
Hi Marianne, I am growing a large variety of herbs in containers. I have more than one book on herb horticulture (for example, Thomas DeBaggio’s ‘Growing Herbs’) that all suggest something called Osmocote For Potting Mixes 17-6-10. Where can I obtain this product to maximize my herb production?

Marianne's Response
Hi, Howard! I'm answering this one on behalf of Marianne. Osmocote stop making a 'Potting Mix' product quite some number of years ago. You might be able to find an old bag somewhere online, but the nutrition would no longer be active. Instead, why not consider using straight plant food such as Osmocote Outdoor & Indoor Plus? It's has a 15-9-12 formula PLUS micronutrients. It is sold in 1 and 2 lb bottles and in 8 lb bags. You can find it at The Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, Ace and many fine garden centers. As Marianne says, keep on growing!
