Fertilizer usage
I recently bought the Osmocote Plus. I want to use it on my house plants. Most of my plants are in bottom watering containers. Ex, african voilets mostly. If I sprinkle the fertilizer in the soil does the water reach them? Can I dissolve them in water and water with that water, or can i put the fertilizer in the bottom of the container?? Your help will be much appreciated! I don’t want to burn my plant or waste the fertilizer. Thank you!

No worries. The Osmocote pellets will release fertilizer to your houseplants even if you water from the bottom. The moisture of the soil causes the plant food to be available no matter how the soil becomes moist. Be sure to work the Osmocote into the soil not into water. One tip when it comes to feeding indoor plants is to remember they need less fertilizer during the winter when the daylight is shorter. This is why it is recommended to use any fertilizer at half the rate for indoor plants as you would for plants outdoors. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
