Flowers/Pots

Hi Marianne,
I’m new to Planters Place and found the site interesting. Regarding Flower’s and Pot’s. My backyard has assorted shrubs and trees. Two ornamental plum trees, Ligustrum, Lorpetalum, Highlight Evergreens, Camelias, Holly, Abelias, and my favorite, Skip Laurels. On my Patio, I usually plant the usuals in pots and containers. My backyard and Patio receives about eight hours of full sun. Regarding pots and containers. Can I use assorted colors and sizes or should they all be the same?
Thank you and have a wonderful day.
Kindest regards,
Rob

Welcome to PlantersPlace and happy you have found the site. You can use a mix of planters and pots   I love the mix of all sizes and colors but a collection will be more calming if you pick a theme. This means all pots brightly colored with deep blue and bright yellow the most common. Or a collection of different types of clay or terra cotta pots mixed with orange or neutral ceramic. For wild color a collection of multi colored pots from Mexico or recycled pots using old trash bins, garbage cans or water troughs all in a metal finish. Be creative and please yourself. As long as there are drainage holes and good potting soil the plants do not care. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
