Flowertime’s Question
Hi! I planted zinnia seeds but they developed Bacterial Leaf Spot. I treated the seedlings and the space. When can I reseed in the same space? Thank you

Did the disease develop outdoors or inside? If outdoors just wait until the night temps are above 55 degrees and the soil dries out a bit. In you treated inside a greenhouse then you should be able to replant in a few days. Too much moisture and cool temps encourage the bacteria so increase the air circulation (a fan perhaps) and use a potting soil that drains freely. Adding extra perlite to a potting mix or the soil in the ground will help to increase the air in the growing medium. Also try to keep the foliage dry at all times. Congrats on trying plants from seeds. A great adventure awaits those that grow from seed. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
