Osmocote for container vegetables
Would Flower and Vegetable or Multi-Purpose formula be better for vegetables grown in containers?

Yes, the plants in containers cannot spread out their roots to seek nutrients so the higher concentration of nutrients in the Flower and Vegetables formula would be my choice. You can even mix the Osmocote into the soil at planting time for up to 4 months of feeding. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
