Is fertilizer safe for frogs and other wildlife?
I have frogs and other wildlife in my garden and want to keep a healthy habitat for them. What should I look for in the ingredients of fertilizer and other products to use? Is “organic” enough?

High-nitrogen fertilizers can cause algae bloom in water, so try to use compost and slow-release plant foods like Osmocote in your wildlife friendly garden. Be sure to leave fallen logs, branches, and other protective spots for the frogs. Fallen leaves and debris are always good for wildlife.
