The viburnum Davidii is a great evergreen shrub for sun or shade and for a change why not try the Leucothoe or rainbow bush? This is also and evergreen that thrives in sun or shade but instead of dark green leaves you'll be treated to golden, green and splashes of pink on the pointed leaves of this shrub. This shrub has a growth habit that is rather weepy and spreads a bit with underground stolons. For a more formal look check out the Pieris japonica or Lily of the valley busy. These come in many forms some are dwarf, some have white markings on the leaves and some have brilliant red new growth. One more suggestion is to explore more of the viburnum family as these also come in many different forms and all will do well in your location. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
