Fruits and vegetables for hot climates

I am just starting a garden in a region that is hot in the summer. What veggies and fruits would do best?

Marianne's Response

That depends on if your summers are hot and humid like in Florida or hot and dry like Arizona. Tomatoes, melons, corn, and many herbs love the heat. Citrus fruits, dates, and other tropical produce can be grown in more humid areas. The best advice for what will grow in your area will come from your local extension agent, garden club, or nursery professional. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
