Blocking weeds with newspapers and bark
After I thoroughly weed my garden, how many inches of redwood bark chunks should I put on top of the layer of newspapers or cardboard to provide maximum weed blocking?

You can put up to four inches of bark mulch to block weeds, seal in moisture and shade the soil but if you use only two inches you will get almost as good results for half the money. Marianne Binetti
