Help me find a narrow evergreen tree
I am looking for a recommendation on the proper tree. I have two corners of my barn that I would like to put a tree. There will be walls on two sides, some direct sun. It can’t get too tall nor send out large roots without possible damage to structure. I would prefer evergreen, but am open. Is there any kind of pine that would work, looking for the western look.
Thank you so much and you assistance on my potatoes. Amazing, biggest crop ever this year.

Marianne's Response
So glad I could help you with the earlier question on potatoes. As for a narrow evergreen, I suggest an Ilex \"Sky Pencil\" very narrow with small green leaves, or a columnar arborvitae but if you want a tree form perhaps an umbrella pine or dwarf Scotch pine. You did not mention what climate zone you are in or if deer are a problem. The local nurseries in your area will be able to tell you if my recommendations will thrive in your climate zone. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
