Gourmet lettuce
Some of my gourmet lettuce blend plants lower leaves are being found on the ground next to the plant. Looks like they are coming off where they come out of the dirt. Any ideas why? Thanks

Most likely an animal or human tried to sample a leaf but found it bitter? The young plants don't need the oldest leaves so I would just collect the wilted leaves and move on. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
