Gramma Kerry’s Question
Was wondering what your thoughts are on organic gardening compared to science based gardening.

Marianne's Response
It is all good. The term \"organic\" is so broad but in general anything that improves the soil by adding organic or formerly living matter to the soil and this is good for plants. Science based gardening proves this. I also recommend slow release plant foods like Osmocote to keep plants well fed with micro nutrients as well as the big three nutrients and because slow release plant foods protect our water quality by keep excess nitrates out of the soil. Even the most \"organic\" fertilizers such as manures can pollute water. Good science proves a combination of compost, mulch and slow release plant foods is good for the plants and good for water quality. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
