The best grass seed is a mix or blend or seeds that do best in your climate. Not sure where you live but my best advice is to ask at a local garden center as they would know what types of grasses do best in your area. Then be sure you go with the more expensive brand. The named varieties of grass seeds have a patent on them as they are improved and easier to grow most often because they use less water and grow slower.
