You got me on this one. I have never grown this plant (the Hinoki False cypress) by seed or cutting. I suggest you contact the Iseli Nursery of Boring, Oregon and get some advice from their expert conifer growers. Looks like you have a great adventure ahead of you. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
