Marianne's Response
Why isn’t my Hollyhock blooming?
My Hollyhock isn’t blooming. I transplanted it from my aunt’s garden, so I really want to save it. What should I do? Thank you.

Marianne's Response
Don't worry just yet. It take Hollyhock two years to flower as they are biennials but often treated as annuals or plants that flower then die. Hollyhock will reseed and these young seedlings usually take two summers to flower. Meanwhile give the plants full sun and pull off any leaves with brown spots - Hollyhock are susceptible to rust on their foliage so keeping the leaves dry and mulching the soil will help to prevent this fungal infection. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
