Ground Cover

What is a good flowering ground cover for a shade in the morning and filtered sun in the afternoon? I have some Vinca in there now, but would like something else too, because it’s a large area. Thank you!!

I vote ajuga as a groundcover for a mostly shaded site. This evergreen blooms in the spring but comes in many varieties from a dwarf with dark leaves called 'Chocolate Chip' ajuga to a large leaved ajuga named 'Catlins Giant'. There is also pachysandra that will colonize a large shaded area and depending on where you live consider the many native woodland plants. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
