Marianne's Response
Hdrangea Problem
This summer, our hydrangea blossoms have all turned down individually. They look normal otherwise.what causes this and how can it be cured?

Marianne's Response
I am not sure what you are describing. If you mean the individual blossoms are pointing to the ground then I am going to assume they are suffering from lack of water. If you do water and they still point downward it could be that a mole or vole have damaged the roots so that the hydrangea cannot absorb enough moisture to keep the petals from going limp. Check for holes near the base of the hydrangea. Over the winter new roots may grow and you can have a fresh start next summer. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
